Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, SATURDAY, JANUARY 6, 2018 At the start of the Bal Vikas Annual Convention, what is it that Bal Vikas students must keep in mind? Bhagawan explains in His benediction to all students. My dear students, love your parents. Obey their commands. Your parents work very hard to feed you, educate you and bring you up in life. They struggle to keep you in good mood and give you good food, good clothing and good education. If you do not respect such parents, how do you expect to be respected by society? You must bring joy to your parents through your behaviour. When you achieve high qualifications, it promotes ego, but not humility and respect towards parents and elders. Hence, cultivate the qualities of humility, respect and reverence assiduously. Only then will you become good citizens of the country. It is not necessary that everyone achieves greatness. However it is important for everyone to become good citizens. Name and fame will come today and leave tomorrow. But good name will last forever. Therefore earn a good name. Think of God always and earn His Grace. Your lives will certainly be sanctified! – Divine Discourse, Jan 12, 2004. Sirvam a sociedade. See that your love for God does not fluctuate according to whether your wishes are fulfilled or not. Remember that you reap the fruits of your own actions, depending on whether they are good or bad. Love of God alone can confer enduring bliss. Eschew bad qualities like hatred and envy. If you wish to lead a sacred life and have sacred experiences, you must engage yourself in sacred actions. The good and evil in the world can be changed only by the change in people’s actions. Transformation of society must start with transformation of individuals. Students! Remember that you are in a ‘golden age’ in your lives. Do not waste it. Do your duty. Love and revere your parents. Serve society. Adhere to good qualities always. Be happy and make others happy. Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, THURSDAY, JANUARY 4, 2018 What is the attitude with which we must lead our daily life? Bhagawan lovingly gives us two tips with memorable practical illustrations today. Life is a newspaper; read casually a few columns and headlines that catch your fancy and throw it aside. Do not consider it any more important than that. Remember, today’s newspaper, is tomorrow’s ‘waste paper’! So too, life is worth only a casual perusal! One birth is enough; let the death coming to you in this life be the last. You are all caskets of divine Love; share it and spread it. Express that Love in acts of service, words of sympathy, and thoughts of compassion. Just as when you wake up from sleep you know that the dream you had was a matter of minutes, even though the chain of events dreamt spanned many years, this life too will appear a transient affair when you awaken into jnana (supreme wisdom) after this brief ‘dream of life’. Be always full of joy so that when death calls, you can quit with a light laugh, without whimpering in grief. I bless you to shape your life to attain that supreme everlasting bliss! – Divine Discourse, Jul 7, 1968 There is no more dreadful disease in the world than insatiable desire! – BABA. Thought for the Day January 3rd, 2018 Arjuna is also called Partha – a name applicable to all, for, it means earthly or earth-born. His struggle is a reminder to all. Arjuna was overcome by Love, which was colored with egoism and delusion. He felt that it was wrong to kill his kinsmen by slaughtering the armies ranged against him. He preferred a life sustained on alms to ruling over an empire won by the sword. This misplaced compassion, based on an unreal sense of values, attracted the Lord’s attention, who resolved to transmute it into a renunciation of attachment to the deed and its fruits. If only you cultivate a deep yearning for guidance about your appropriate Dharma, and if you surrender your will, intellect, emotions and your impulses to God, He will lead you to Himself and endow you with Supreme Bliss. É o clímax, a conclusão. God is immanent in the world. So treat the world as lovingly as you will treat your Master. Serve, whatever be the obstacle or the cynical ridicule you may attract. The torture that his father inflicted to turn his mind away from God helped to bring out the unflinching devotion of Prahlada. The wickedness of Ravana served to reveal the might of Rama’s bow. Traducers like Shishupala, Dantavakra, Ravana, and Kamsa are inevitable accessories of every incarnation. When you attempt to cultivate and share virtues, selfless love and fortitude, trouble and travail will naturally follow. You must welcome them, for without them the best in you cannot be drawn out. If gold was as plentiful as dust or diamonds as easily available as pebbles, no one would care for them. Remember, precious metals are won after enormous exertion and expense, that is why they are eagerly sought after forever!- *BABA*-(Divine Discourse, May 17,1968) #sathyasai #saibhakta 30 de dezembro de 2017Saibhakta Brasil View on Instagram http://bit.ly/2zQA7bJ
Dharmakshetra and Kurukshethra are not merely places near Delhi or Hastinapur on the map of India. Nor are the Pandavas and Kauravas merely princely clans I figuring in the tale. The human body is called kshetra (field), and so Dharmakshetra, is in every one. When the owner of the body discards all desires, passions and impulses, then the body becomes Dharma-kshetra (the field of righteousness)! A child has in its heart only Dharmakshetra, for it has not developed sensual desires. It accepts whatever is offered. Its ego is not yet ramified into the objective world of multiplicity. But later, when it grows branches and foliage, the Dharmakshetra takes the shape of Kurukshetra – the battlefield where the mind struggles between hope and despair, and is forced to consume the diverse fruits, sweet and bitter, as a result of its own choice of actions. Actions illumined by Jnana or wisdom bring about success. The Jnana that God alone exists can win the grace of God!- *BABA*-(Divine Discourse,May 12,1969) #sathyasai #saibhakta 30 de dezembro de 2017Saibhakta Brasil View on Instagram http://bit.ly/2EisePQ

Nothing else is worth being chosen over Him. #sathyasai #saibhakta 30 de dezembro de 2017Saibhakta Brasil View on Instagram http://bit.ly/2CbykUK

Do you like the voice of a crow? You drive the crow away when it starts to ‘caw’! Its voice is harsh and too loud! On the other hand, the cuckoo looks just like the crow, but everyone likes to hear its sweet voice, isn’t it? God blessed you with a tongue to express your thoughts, ideas, feelings, desires, prayers, joys and sorrows. If you are angry, you use it to speak out harsh words in a loud tone. When you are happy, you use it to speak soft words in a low and pleasant voice. I ask that you use your tongue only for your good and the good of others. If you speak harshly to another, they too respond loudly and harshly; angry words leads to more angry reactions. But if you use soft and sweet words when another is angry towards you, they will calm down and be sorry that they used their tongue in that way. So always speak softly and sweetly! #sathyasai #saibhakta 30 de dezembro de 2017Saibhakta Brasil View on Instagram http://bit.ly/2Covjj8

We worship God with flowers, offer ritual adoration (puja) and pay obeisance. There is something sacred and superior than this! It is to offer God a pure mind and good conduct. This is called Paraa Bhakti. By worshiping God with puja and flowers, the spiritual aspirant remains stationary in their journey to God; failing to rise to a higher position is unwise. The worldly flowers always fade, lose fragrance and develop unpleasant odours. Instead of worshipping with worldly, impermanent flowers and receiving transient rewards from God, worship Him with what is lasting to attain a much higher stage. The first flower to offer God is non-violence (ahimsa). The second is control of senses (dhama). The third is compassion to all living beings (daya). The fourth is forbearance (kshama). The fifth is peace (shanti). The sixth is tapas (penance). The seventh is meditation (Dhyana). And the eighth is the flower of Truth (Sathya). – Divine Discourse, May 12, 1981. #sathyasai #saibhakta 29 de dezembro de 2017Saibhakta Brasil View on Instagram http://bit.ly/2DwpWvi

Everything can be achieved through pure love – Sathya Sai Speaks Human being comes from God but forgets his source. Clouds originate from sun but they cover the sun. But sun does not hate the clouds. Clouds are of passing nature. Why to hate those which are very temporary and transient? In the same manner, bad qualities sometimes cover our real loving nature. Then we should be calm. Then these clouds of bad qualities will pass off. Strong wind throws it off. That strong wind is Love. With that all clouds of evil nature are thrown off. There is nothing impossible to Love. It can achieve everything. It is said “Prem Eswar hai Eshwar prem hai” Love is God and God is Love. You should realize this and treat others’ difficulties and troubles as of yours. Love others as you love yourself. Self- introspection is essential. Self-inquiry doesn’t mean to count on how many legs, hands and attributes are present. Others’ feelings, pains and sorrows are also like your own. If you give pure love they too give pure love. There will not be any scope to hatred or jealousy. To shed off the bad qualities, one should develop selfless love. That is Devotion. ❤️OM SAIRAM❤️ SRI SATHYA SAI BABA SPEAKS- You have to transform your life through service. You should give no room for arrogance or self-interest to the slightest extent in your service activities. Install in your heart the feeling that the service you render to anyone is service to God. Only then does service to man become service to God. – Divine Discourse, March 23, 1989. #Sathyasai #saibhakta 28 de dezembro de 2017Saibhakta Brasil View on Instagram http://bit.ly/2lfAQin

Often, knowingly or unknowingly, we are involved in the relentless pursuit of sensory pleasures. What is its consequence? How can we fix it? Bhagawan lovingly reminds us today. You can redeem your life only when you understand where from you came, your role presently and your destination. To accomplish this, first learn the righteous usage of your sense organs (Indriyas). For instance, consider your nostrils. They are designed to be used to breathe and smell objects and discard that is foul-smelling. Did you ever realise that the respiratory process also conveys a significant spiritual message when you inhale and exhale air every second? It contains the precious mantra, ‘So-hum’, which is called Hamsa Gayatri and is the essence of non-dualism (Advaita). So-Ham should remind you the message of identity between God (So) and you (Aham). Why do you forget this and instead of using your nose for sacred goals, use it to take snuff? By abusing, you make it the root-cause of various respiratory diseases. Most ailments people suffer today are due to the use of sense organs for improper purposes. Hence, recognise the critical role of the senses and use them righteously. – Divine Discourse, Oct 6, 1997. #sathyasai #saibhakta 28 de dezembro de 2017Saibhakta Brasil View on Instagram http://bit.ly/2leh3jo
“CHINNA KATA” By BHAGAVAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA. The First Slip A mother used to carry her son on her shoulder, when she went to the market. A woman with a basket of fruits passed by her; the child lifted a banana from that basket and started eating it. The mother noticed it, and when she was told that he had cleverly lifted it from the basket of a passing fruitseller, she complimented the son on his smartness. This made the child indulge in petty thieving and picking pockets, as it grew into a boy – and in actual house-breaking and dacoity. Once during a dacoity, he committed even murder, and when he was caught and jailed, he expressed a wish to see his mother before being hanged. The wailing, weeping desperate mother was brought before him. She was sobbing at her son’s fate. The son asked her to come closer to him; suddenly, he tried to strangle her, and the guards separated them. The son said, “She deserves the punishment; for, it was she who brought me to this doom. Had she reprimanded me when I stole a banana, when I was a child of two years, instead of complimenting me, I would not have fallen into this, evil way”. #sathyasai #saibhakta 28 de dezembro de 2017Saibhakta Brasil View on Instagram http://bit.ly/2zIki71

What is not right with our educational system today? Bhagawan explains and suggests how it can be corrected. Several malpractices have entered the field of education. Money is paid to gain admission into schools and colleges, and to acquire marks and degrees. The teacher does not transmit taste, style, attitude or outlook; it is all a matter of books and more books. The student is left to gather these from outside the educational institutions. More value is attached to information and its collection; no attempt is made to gain personal transformation and to correct one’s habits and characteristics! How did the great artists who drew the frescoes of Ajanta and carved the temples of Ellora learn their trade? Did they attend any school? They learnt from teachers, the master craftsmen who were inspired artists. Books cannot give guidance and inspiration for real good work. Worldly aspects must be harmonised with spiritual aspects to lead a full life. Only then can an individual have self-confidence and avoid the imitative path. – Divine Discourse, Jan 5, 1975. #sathyasai #saibhakta 28 de dezembro de 2017Saibhakta Brasil View on Instagram http://bit.ly/2CdKMCN

THE CREATOR’S CREATION…. In good old days Swamy use to walk around Prashanthi Nilayam, there were many coconut trees planted all arround… Sometimes while walking Swamy use to pluck one of the palm leaves and split it with the nails and weave it into a form of a deer, He use to to give it to the person next to him and ask him to “keep it as a bookmark” ….this is one such bookmark given by the Lord to Smt Padma, daughter of Sri N. Pensamento para o dia 27/12/2017 Desenvolva sentimentos fraternos por todos. Deus é um. O amor é um. Amor genuíno transcende casta, cor e credo. Pain or pleasure is the result of past Karma and not of the present Karma. Pain and pleasure alternate with each other. One must suffer or enjoy them patiently without being carried away by them. One must always try to hold on to the Self. When one is active one should not care for the results and must not be swayed by the pain or pleasure met with occasionally. He who is indifferent to pain or pleasure can alone be happy. #sathyasai #saibhakta 28 de dezembro de 2017Saibhakta Brasil View on Instagram http://bit.ly/2zIEci5
