THE 1st WEDDING CONDUCTED BY SWAMI… :) Back in the old days when puttaparthi never had any facilities or provisions, prof.Kasturi requested young swami to conduct the marriage of his (Prof.Kasturi’s ) daughter. Swami made a list of provisions to be bought and showed prof.Kasturi who was shocked at the longlist and said ” swami, only 30 members will attend the wedding . You made list for 200 members. ” Swami said “This is the first wedding conducted by me that puttaparthi people will witness. So inform griham ammayi (mother easwaramma) to prepare wedding feast for 200 people”. But prof.Kasturi informed food only for 100 people imagining that young swami is not good at estimates. The wedding news reached the villagers who were curious to see the preparations. Swami took 2 coconuts and broke them even hitting against each other and requested the coconut water to be sprinkled on all the prepared food dishes. When the leaves for lunch were getting laid, they found more than 350 people were present. The food prepared for 100 multiplied by swami’s grace . Not only the food was served for 350 but they all packed and took for dinner too.
