Sage Patanjali defines Yoga as the control (nirodha) of the agitations (vrittis) of your mind (chitta). When your mind is stilled and is free from waves produced by the wind of desire, then you become a Yogi! Lord Krishna is called Yogeeshwara in the Gita, for, as the highest Yogi He is the ocean tLORD commit its poison! The inner significance is that He rendered the poisonous snake (sensual desires) harmless! Yoga that enables you to practice sense control and not merely breath control, is the best way to attain the Yogeeshwara. Transcend the ‘many-consciousness’ (anekatwa bhava)the Karwa bhava)! That will end strife, grief, pain and pride. See all as many expressions of the One Lord, as manifold bulbs of various colours and wattage lit by the same current.- *BABA*- (Divine Discourse, May 10, 1969) #sathyasai #saibhakta
