Shivoham Chant is a combination of 6 Sanskrit slokas (stanzas) also known as “Nirvana Shatakam Shivoham” spoken and written by Adi Shankaracharya around 788-820 CE. In the eight century, when Adi Shankaracharya was eight years of age, he was wandering in the Himalayas in the search of his Guru. He then encountered a sage who asked him, “who are you?. The boy answered with these stanzas, which summarized the entirety of advaita vedanta in six stanzas. The boy was talking to Swami Govindapada Acharya, who was, indeed, the guru he was looking for. Listening to these verses and contemplating on them can be of tremendous value to spiritual growth and self-realization. We especially recommend to listen to these verses, whenever you are in any confusion of life. You can meditate with this chant, just close your eyes and listen to it. #sathyasai #saibhakta
